Nothing compares to the warmth and character of genuine hardwood flooring. East Coast Flooring and Carpentry installs both solid hardwood and engineered hardwood throughout Sanford, Lee County, Moore County, and surrounding Central NC communities. Our experienced craftsmen treat every installation as a long-term investment in your home.
Solid vs. Engineered Hardwood
- Solid Hardwood — 3/4" thick planks milled from a single timber. Can be sanded and refinished 5–7 times over its lifetime. Best above-grade on wood subfloors.
- Engineered Hardwood — a real wood veneer bonded over a plywood core. More dimensionally stable, suitable over concrete and radiant-heat floors, and available in wider planks.

Hardwood Installation Methods
- Nail-down / Staple-down — traditional method for solid hardwood over plywood subfloors; provides the firmest, quietest feel
- Glue-down — used over concrete or on upper floors where nail-down isn't suited
- Floating — engineered hardwood clicked together with no direct adhesion to subfloor
